Due to recent and ongoing expansion, an excellent opportunity is available for a Support Technician to join a leading ISP in West Yorkshire on a permanent basis. Joining a friendly Support department, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing technical support to staff and clients across the business and troubleshooting queries.
Responsibilities include:
Managing and prioritising incoming help and support requests
1st and 2nd line support for inbound queries relating to the company's products and services
Assisting in the implementation of new technologies
Working with third parties to resolve support issues
Performing diagnostics, utilising external and internal back-end systems
Escalating complaints and unresolved issues to Senior Support team members and Managers
Configuration of hardware based on default settings and customer requirements
Skills/Experience:
An understanding of 3G and 4G data technology
Working knowledge of PSTN
Knowledge of ADSL and FTTC broadband
Understanding of Domain, DNS, Mail, Web and MySQL technologies
A knowledge of VOIP and SIP
Content filtering knowledge
Routers, Firewalls and Switches
