Regional Operational HR Advisor (strong ER background) / chemical sector
Salary: GBP32,000 - GBP36,000
Location: multi local sites - Selby area

This is a key No2 HR position where the regional HR Advisor will be responsible to visit key local manufacturing sites and represent HR for all HR queries and employment law matters. Key to this role will be building credible relationships at Supervisor and Manager level across the sites and showing a keen interest in being visible, attend management meetings and have a true understanding of the business and people at each site.

The Regional Operational HR Advisor reports into the Head of HR and is part of a close supportive HR team. This organisation is a highly successful well known company supporting global blue-chip customers. This is an autonomous role and will require the regional HR Advisor to be responsible for all ER at the sites. Dealing with all HR related matters and being the 'eyes and ears' operationally at the various sites building strong relationships at all levels. Supporting the key personnel at sites with any HR related matters and developing and training key Managers with HR initiatives. Attending operational site meetings and making sure that HR is very much part of all decisions that effect the people at the sites. The day-to-day operational HR across the busy manufacturing sites is very much the responsibility of the Regional HR Advisor and it is expected for this person to manage their own diary and require very limited management or guidance from the Head of HR to perform the core duties of their role.

-The ideal candidate will have either worked for a large FMCG manufacturing site/or numerous operational sites or already have experience working in a Regional HR role in the manufacturing sector. Must have experience working with blue and white collar staff and working in an operational HR role. Excellent business acumen, articulate and great communication skills are key for this role.
-Excellent ER skills and experience, good employment law knowledge
-Previous experience dealing with complex ER cases and considered a specialist in Employee Relations would be an advantage.
-The ideal HR candidate will have worked in the FMCG sector and have previous experience working with operational Managers and Supervisors and represented HR at a similar site level.
-CIPD 5 min required
-At least 2 years operational HR experience in FMCG manufacturing is essential
