Torquay, Devon (office/field based, with travel to sites across the South West)

We are now seeking a Build Manager to join our dedicated team in Torquay.

The Role
 
As the Build Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of construction projects throughout the South West and ensure they are delivered on time and to quality standards.
 
Ensuring that a high level of health and safety is maintained at all times, you will take responsibility for all staff, personnel and members of the public whilst on site.
 
Working across all aspects of a project, you will be involved in the people management elements, the leadership of each project, the resource selection and allocation and any process developments that are required. You will also ensure that customer expectations and obligations are met.
 
Your role will also involve:
 
- Ensuring specified targets are achieved
- Maintaining motivation level and support staff development
- Supporting project acquisition, design, planning and programming
- Co-ordinating project resources and assisting with subcontractor selection
 
About You
 
To be considered as a Build Manager, you will need:
 
- Relevant experience as a build manager or in a similar role (such as construction manager, senior contracts manager, contracts manager, senior site managers)
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- The ability to effectively coach and motivate others
- A full, valid driving licence
