Salary: Upwards of GBP23,000 + Package
Location: Office Location is Chelmsford.

PC Groundworks (South East) Limited is a Groundwork and civils company working within the construction industry. They are a supporting company of Poppet Construction Limited based in the heart of Chelmsford. We are expanding the business across Essex, London, Kent and Cambridge and we are now in need of an Office Manager. The Office Manager will be overseeing all aspects of our 'back office' business requirements and will report directly to the Managing Director.

Here's some of the key roles and responsibilities for the role of Office Manager.

* Data entry and Filing and keep all relevant spreadsheets updated.

* Obtaining Supplier Quotes

* Placing supplier orders on Xero (Plant Orders, Material Orders, Stationary Orders, Uniform Orders etc.)

* Create hardcopies of site files and update virtual site files on our filing system.

* Update Xero daily/weekly by issuing POs to suppliers, adding invoices between companies and to clients, completing bank reconciliations, administrating Payroll, Preparing VAT, Sending supplier remittances, setting up projects, adding new clients and supplier info.

* Liaising with site to ensure that orders and requirements are dealt with quickly and appropriately.

* Support the Quantity Surveyor with Tender Enquiries

* Support the Managing Director daily with adhoc duties.

* Occasionally speak to clients and attend site visits and meetings when required.

* Supporting business growth and development (Marketing, Recruitment, HR, Accounting)

* Ensuring that Accreditations and Company/ Fleet Insurances are up to date.

* Working alongside the Quantity Surveyor, Foreman, Contracts Managers and to keep the sites running smoothly.

* Implement and review company policies.

* General Office Maintenance

* Can work under pressure and achieve deadlines.

* Other adhoc tasks/duties that arise.

The minimum requirements and key character points we are looking for in our Office Manager.

* Construction Industry experiences is not essential and knowledge of site and building materials but would be highly advantageous.

* Accounts Experience, preferably part qualified or has relevant experience and knowledge of CIS, VAT Returns, PAYE, Bank Reconciliation, Payroll Process, Domestic Reverse Charge etc.

* Knowledge of Xero accounting software, and/or willingness to undertake online courses/training to use the system.

* PA Experience would be advantageous.

* Ability to juggle several tasks at once.

* Strong Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe knowledge)

* Excellent communication skills and able to communicate across the business.

* Supportive and team orientated with a positive attitude and good sense of humour.

* You need to be a motivated individual, as there will be times where lone working is applicable.

* Driving License

* Live locally to the office.
