SEND (SEMH) Learning Support Assistants (ref V73)

Salary scale: GBP70 - 80 per day / circa GBP18k (perm)

We are inviting applications from Learning Support Assistants with good experience of working with children that display challenging behaviours. The SEND children you'll be working with have an EHCP for ASC (Autism) and SEMH. The ideal person this role will have good ability at engaging students and have good team working skills.

There are temporary, contract and permanent opportunities available. If you're able to commit on a full time basis, during normal school hours and have good experience, we'd very much like to hear from you.

Permanent opportunities will start on 12 week trial basis initially with a transfer to permanent contract after satisfactory completion.

This school enjoys modern teaching facilities and has enjoyed a rapid turnaround led by their enthusiastic and very active headteacher. The head has implemented a scheme of positive behaviour strategies, resulting in a massive reduction in student behaviour incidents, almost eliminating physical interventions and vastly improving staff attendance as a result. Applicants with Team Teach training may be at an advantage however free training will be provided for the successful applicant. The school operate on a transparent and collaborative basis across departments and between staff & senior leadership team. This role will be run through Elementa Education. All candidates working through Elementa are expected to engage with their respective role as if employed permanently from the outset. You will need to attend any required meetings & training sessions. Elementa Education has a fair pay policy and only employ candidates on a PAYE basis (no umbrella companies or self-employed statuses.) All candidates will be eligible for free CPD training relevant to the nature of their Elementa contract role.
