The Role
A vacancy has arisen in our Finance team for a Service Charge & Finance Co-ordinator. Reporting to the Service Charge Manager the core duties and expectations of the role include:
- Reviewing all tenancy and lease agreements (almost 9000 in total)
- Inputting data from over 8000 tenancy agreements onto a database to capture important service charge information
- Inputting data from over 800 lease agreements onto a database to capture important service charge information
- Assisting the service charge team with responding to customer queries
- Monitoring and administration of council tax bills
- Liaising with staff and councils as required to ensure payments are made as required in a prompt and timely manner
- Administering the finance petty cash float. Ensuring receipts are obtained for all expenditure, and the float is reconciled on a regular basis
- Assisting the ledgers team with obtaining supplier statements, and the administration of new supplier requests, and supplier amendments
- Other duties as required to help the finance department operate in a functional and efficient manner
The Person
It is essential that the successful candidate has the following:
- A good standard of education, including Maths and English at GCSE level
- Excellent level of IT literacy, especially Microsoft excel and data analysis skills
- Experience of the customer service environment, including responding to complaints and queries
- Ability to work co-operatively with colleagues across all areas of the organisation
- Ability to speak to customers directly and to be able to confidently hold difficult conversations on occasions
- Ability to work autonomously and work in an agile manner (a mixture of working at Sale Point and from home)
It is desirable that the successful candidate has the following:
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation and statutory regulations regarding service charges.
- Ability to manage varied workloads and be a team player is essential
