We know that the start of life is critical to life chances. If you want to build a stronger, kinder, better world, there is and can be no better place to start than at the beginning.

This is where you come in.

Have you got customer service experience? Would you like to help support parents, volunteers and members through day to day interaction over the phone and by e-mail?  If yes, we would love to hear from you!

About the role

Working within the Courses and Income Team at NCT you will help provide a response that is helpful and relevant to the needs of the enquiry. This response will reflect the positioning and values of NCT. If you have worked with volunteers before that’s great.

We are recruiting for an Enquiries Officer for maternity cover for 12 months as well as a sessional team member to help cover absence. Sessional hours will vary depending on need so might suit someone who doesn’t want to commit to a regular volume of work.

To be the first point of contact for all incoming queries to NCT, acting with dedication to resolve the query and becoming a “trusted advisor” and providing excellent customer service with warmth, friendliness and pride.
To ensure responses fully reflect the positioning and values of NCT so that every person who contacts us is inspired to recommend NCT to others.
To escalate questions and queries where necessary whilst retaining full and complete ownership of the final response
To proactively research parent and volunteer issues to increase personal knowledge and to provide the highest calibre of support possible.

We are taking positive action to increase diversity throughout our organisation, at all levels, and to nurture a culture of inclusion for all our people and the parents and families that we support.  More details about our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion action can be foundon our website.

We are committed to zero discrimination both internally and externally regardless of visible or invisible difference such as sex, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, disability, impairment, learning difference or long-term condition, religion or belief, gender identity, economic class, marital/civil partnership, family status including single parents, socio-economic background and pregnancy and maternity. We provide reasonable adjustments and are committed to an inclusive and accessible recruitment process.

Please see the job description for further information.

The current situation means that the role is home based at the moment

Closing date for applications: 16th June at 5pm and interviews TBC – Please note the vacancy may be closed early if successful candidates are appointed during this time.
