Are you looking for a new exciting and challenging position? Do you wish to further develop your management career working with children and young people with learning disabilities? If so, we have just the role for you:

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader to join our day team at Robins, our 10 bed Residential & Respite Home in Dartington.

Children and young people with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do and we want every person we support to have a great life, with excellent outcomes. As part of that, you will be joining our team of staff who are committed to looking after the children and young people who both live and visit our residential and respite setting.

As a Team Leader, you will be managing, supporting and guiding a team of daytime Support Workers who strive to deliver quality care whilst making a difference to all our children and young people.  As well as leading your team, you will also be responsible for actively safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the young people in the home.

You will have extensive experience in this sector at a senior level and must hold a minimum of a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). A Level 2 or above in Safeguarding Children Training and knowledge of the needs of learning-disabled children and young people best practices.

Defined as a “Good” provider by Ofsted, Robins are looking for “Outstanding” staff who will deliver support in a professional, caring way. In return, we can offer an excellent range of staff benefits including 28 days’ annual leave, a company pension scheme, staff discount scheme, ongoing training and supervision, continuing professional development and support, as well as an extensive induction on commencement of employment. Lifeworks are also accredited Disability Confident Employers.

Lifeworks is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and they expect all staff to share this commitment. For this post, pre-employment checks will be carried out, references will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
