The Sales Manager is responsible for selling digital and event products to existing accounts and new clients. You will be primarily selling a newly-launched digital content platform, as well as cross-selling a multi-award-winning exhibition.
You will have a portfolio of clients, prospects and leads who know the company and trade show well, whereas the digital product will require more awareness.
So, are you a sales hungry individual with has at least 4 years' experience selling digital platforms and SPEX sales? You need to be in your element when selling via telesales, and also comfortable conducting face to face meetings with clients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Sales ownership of digital portfolio
* Multi-platform selling (digital, exhibition, sponsorship, content marketing, marketing solutions)
* Key account, existing accounts and business development management - through face to face meetings, video calls and telesales
* Visiting competitor trade shows (national & international)
* Be immaculate with administration (CRM, bookings )
* Research trade magazines, online, other events to look for prospects
* Gain deep understanding of the sector
* Chase outstanding monies if required
Essential Skills and Experience
Experience in all areas of responsibility (above) are required, as well as:
Skills:
* Selling - following a clear sales process, first class questioner, listener, presenter, ability to close
* Clear verbal communication skills
* Good written communication skills
* Highly professional approach
* Excellent planning and organising skills
* Determination and hard work
Experience:
* Experienced at digital sales / digital publishing
* Knowledge and good understanding of digital sales processes and terminology
* Previous experience of exhibition sales an advantage
