Glenbervie Care Home is recruiting a Cook. The care home has 60 residents and we care for elderly (over 65) and adults (18-65). Glenbervie is a purpose built care home with spacious rooms with en-suites, a caf?? for residents and staff, a pub for residents and an in-house large training room. The facility was opened in 2016 and we are looking for a cook to join our kitchen team who deliver nutritious and appetising food for our residents to enjoy.
THE ROLE
* You will cook a range of dishes and follow dietary guidelines for service users, preparing breakfast / lunch / supper.
* You will complete associated kitchen paperwork.
* You will be responsible for the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen, food store, fridges, and freezers.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
* Breakfast preparation and service.
* Morning beverage preparation and service.
* Lunch preparation and service.
* Afternoon beverage preparation and service.
* Supper preparation and service.
* Cleaning kitchen equipment (pots, pans, kitchen utensils, ovens, work surfaces etc).
* Packing away deliveries and stock rotation.
* Other duties as directed by the manager.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU?
Pay rates start at GBP9.00 per hour, and increasing depending on your experience and qualifications.
Paid holiday to 28 days, and workplace pension option.
Paid mandatory training, and the opportunity for ongoing specialist training, e.g. advanced food hygiene / diabetes / dementia, to ensure you can professionally develop yourself, and best meet the care needs of this service user group.
