Conventional Soldering Technician
A very successful Subcontract Electronics Manufacturing Company based in Basildon, Essex are recruiting for a Conventional Solderer. The company service all sectors of the electronics market. You will be working within a friendly team who perform hand or automated soldering of PCBs to defined quality standards.
The right candidate will be able to demonstrate key attributes to enable them to fulfil this role. These include, but are not limited to:
* Soldering of conventional components to IPC class 2 standard
* Pre-form components
* Accurate marking & labelling of products
* Completion of production documentation to expected standards
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate the following additional skill sets:
* Soldering of conventional components to IPC class 3 standard
* Hand place and rework Surface Mount components to IPC standards
* Recognise component identification i.e. resistors, capacitors etc.
All candidates will have an understanding of general PCB manufacture & ESD control.
Role Description/requirements
* You should be able to work individually or within a team
* Be flexible and proactive
* Have an understanding of Health & Safety (the importance of their own actions & responsibility to others)
* Be able to follow work instructions both verbal & written.
* Be methodical
* Have good eyesight and colour vision
* Have suitable fitness levels. While performing the duties of this role, the employee may be required to stand, bend, kneel, twist, reach overhead
* A flexible approach with a positive attitude will be required to join a very busy and growing company

Salary range GBP18,137 - GBP21,500 per annum depending on skills. Hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4pm and Fridays 7.30am to 1pm.
