Job Title: Sales Manager (Office Based)

Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire

Salary: Up to GBP35,000 per annum + Commission (Uncapped) + Pension

Key duties:

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Plan to ensure achievement of divisional and personal target, aligning with company sales policies and strategies
  • Manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are met
  • Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage them accordingly
  • Provide on-the-ground support for sales colleagues as they generate leads and close new deals
  • Discuss with customers their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company's relationship with them
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics
  • Provide daily report of sales success and communicate with superiors regarding performance and key deals
  • Sell to potential direct accounts while also establishing and maintaining progressive customer relationships with key clients
  • Selling all products from the company's stable of brands
  • Researching and identifying new business opportunities across new markets, growth areas, partnerships and any other ways of reaching new and existing markets
  • Continually develop knowledge of the business climate, applications and competition for his/her defined geography and accounts
  • Continually assess current business distribution channels, develop and evaluate their performance and manage conflict ensuring alignment with territory plans
  • Maintain data relative to partners, accounts and activities and will document customer interactions
  • Prepare reporting as needed

About you:

  • 4+ years product sales experience essential
  • Previous FMCG sales experience essential
  • Sales management experience essential
  • Man-management experience essential
  • Qualified through experience or have an industry related qualification
  • Highly driven, tenacious, and be a confident go-getter who doesn't take no for an answer
  • Extensive business development experience and must be a confident, outgoing and committed individual with a high passion for sales
  • Fantastic communication skills and confident in speaking to people at different seniority
  • Must be able to identify current trends and build a successful pitch to drive sales across all brands
  • Proven track record of winning new business and maintaining key accounts
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and a team player
  • Have an understanding of how other organisations work, and ability to identify who the buying decision makers are and how to build a successful sales pitches based on their requirements
