Job Elements
* We are looking to recruit a motivated individual who will work as part of a team of flexible electrical and mechanical technicians and report to the Engineering Manager.
* Shifts - Monday - Friday (6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 2pm-10pm)
* Participate as a member of the multi-skilled Engineering team, working with other departments to improve performance and achieve objectives.
* Reacting effectively to minimise machine downtime, while executing planned preventative maintenance activities to increase machine availability and performance.
The ideal candidate will have: -
* Formal mechanical training. (Time served or a mechanical qualification)
* Experience with maintaining production equipment ideally within a heavy industrial environment, preferably metals or chemicals
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Previous experience with mobile plant, Gas Burners, Rolling Mills, Hydraulic Systems, Overhead Cranes and other equipment associated with heavy engineering
* Welding - MIG/MMA
* Basic electrical skills
