Driver Trainer - Harlow, Essex.

A third trainer role is now available to apply for.

Our Brakes Driver Trainers are the people that help to keep our network running - they not only love to ensure our Drivers are fully trained, safe and compliant, but they also love to find solutions and ensure that everything we do enables us to deliver on our promises to our customers and exceed expectations whilst working together as one team and having some fun along the way!

The role includes:

• Establish and maintain appropriate training records demonstrating driver knowledge and skills;
• Identify training and development needs and the production of a plan to fulfil those requirements
• Conduct driving assessments to ROSPA stds
• Train new drivers in line with Brakes Induction Training
• Complete probation reviews for new starters
• Maintain a training cycle/matrix to ensure drivers receive refresher training before their expiry date.
• Ensure all training documents and new process are captured and up to date
• Conduct morning briefs when any changes in legislation/policy's
• Re - training following vehicle/personal accident
• Managing day to day training schedule
• Provide reports to meet deadlines
• Ensure that the DCPC tracker is updated monthly
• Ensure scheduling compliance with current vehicle and tachograph legislation
• Compliance with Health & Safety and Hygiene legislation
• Conduct quarterly licence checks
• To carry out any other duties as reasonably directed by a member of the management team
• Attend meetings as required (H&S, Office Refresh) You'll have:

• HGV2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• ROSPA trained with an in-date qualification
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience within a distribution operation and full understanding of current commercial vehicle legislation
• Good organisational and planning skills
• Flexible and adaptable to site training needs and shifts
• Good communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written
• Confident presentation and delivery style
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
• Ability to work under your own initiative
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Working knowledge of H&S and Food Safety
