Analytical Development Chemist
My client is a highly specialised independent analytical service provider servicing a wide range of multinational companies across all sectors. The current position has arisen due to continued growth for an experienced Organic Analytical Chemist to support the service and development of varied client projects.
The role of Organic Analytical Chemist will be involved in
* Method development and analysis using HPLC, IC, GC and GCMS
* Experienced at handling and preparing a wide variety of sample matrices
* Able to perform Wet chemistry analysis, accurate quantitative preparation, calibration, pipetting, extraction, titrations and UV-Vis colorimetric measurements.
* Research and set up new analytical methods with UKAS validation and scientific confirmation
* Ongoing support and analysis for routine testing of organic based polymers, materials and or fine chemicals.
* FTIR analysis: including sample preparation, analysis and interpretation
* Hands on for instrument troubleshooting, GCMS, headspace, HPLC
* Excellent research and evidence report writing skills
* Strong communication skills with internal and external clients
The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree or higher (MSc, Phd or post doc) as an experienced organic analytical chemist and have a number of years working in industry solving analytical problems, developing robust analytical methods from within pharmaceutical, fine chemicals or industry working to ISO17025 accreditation.
