Collection & Delivery Drivers Required - Exeter - Immediate Start
Our client is a respected household name and as such seek the best of employees. The role is simply to deliver to and collect from small local business, residential addresses in a timely and courteous manner.
You will start your day by safety checking your vehicle and then loading your van, from the planned delivery route. We want people that are able to go the extra mile for the customers especially when the items delivered can vary from time sensitive business related products to someone's latest fashion item or a gift for a loved one.
Although this is a temporary role, the opportunity of a rolling weekly position is very real and the possibility of leading into permanent is not out of the question.
Naturally friendly, you're a positive and proactive person and a brilliant team player, with the ability to build good relationships with everyone you work with - always seeking the best results for our customers. It's important that you're able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg.
It's essential that you have a full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address) covering up to 3.5 tonnes (Cat B) In an ideal world you'll have a clean licence but it definitely shouldn't have more than 3 penalty points. And, just so you know, you'll be required to show your licence at your assessment as well as go through security vetting including proof of 5 years address history.
This is a great role for those that love driving and meeting people. An excellent level of communication is essential and although a thorough knowledge of the area is not necessity due to the system used on the van, it is advantageous.
