Our client is a civil engineering contractor that specialises in groundworks and substructures covering projects across London, the Home Counties and as far as Birmingham.
They are looking for a Groundworks Foreman with good basement and residential experience to join their team for a project in the Luton area.
Responsibilities:
* Manage teams of groundworks on residential project
* Carry out instructions from the drawings on drainage, footings, piles and light civils work.
* Report on progress to the Project Manager/Site Manager
* Hire and off hire machinery as and when it is needed
* Be responsible for the gang of workers under their control
* Delivery quality groundworks package for the residential contractor with the minimum of fuss and within the allotted time
Requirements:
* Have strong groundworks experience on residential and commercial build projects
* SMSTS/SSSTS preferred
* Good drainage knowledge
* Good communication skills
Client is offering GBP250+ a shift and will include van and fuel card for the right candidate. Will consider permanent or contract candidates and will have long run of work in the Hertfordshire area
