Working for a well-established Career strategy and people development firm, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled projects / programmes manager to play a part in the long term positive impact on careers and business workforces of today and for the future.
As Project Coordinator, you will manage the project life cycle from start to finish so strong prioritisation, administration and communication skills are essential. This opportunity would be well suited to someone from an HR / Human Resources/ or similar background where they have managed both small and large scale project delivery and have had experience working with a wide range of internal and external parties including multi-national corporate clients, HR professionals, career coaches, employee engagement specialists and psychologists. The business have a strong focus on evidence based and research led practice so experience of academic biased programmes would be advantageous and a Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field (ideally with a professional project management qualification) would be beneficial.
This is a hugely capable team of specialists who enjoy a great reputation for the quality of their project delivery so you must enjoy a solution based project role and be confident to adapt, resolve and foresee potential problems throughout the project delivery.
Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
* Determine and define project scope /brief and objectives
* Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
* Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan, monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
* Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
* Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, balancing the needs of multiple, while ensuring a successful and timely completion of deliverables.
* Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
* Track project costs in order to meet budget
* Manage contracts with vendors, suppliers and our consulting team by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
* Utilise industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
* Represent the company in client-facing meetings by presenting to users and key stakeholders
* Evaluate success of projects against objectives and provide best practice with the wider business.
* Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
* Ability to prioritise and reprioritise throughout project life cycle
* Ability to problem solve and foresee areas where complications could occur
This team has worked remotely since for many years and despite doing so have always enjoyed great team work and comradery. Working flexibly, mainly from home, once current restrictions are lifted the Project Manager will be expected to travel to Oxford every 4-6 weeks for face-to-face team meetings (planned in advance), and client meetings (especially in London). It is essential that you have good Internet for video calls, and are confident of being able to work productively and without distraction in your chosen environment.
This is a part-time position, 4 days per week
