Excellent opportunity for an Architectural Designer to join an ambitious company where you will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge through the wide variety of work and progress your career to Design Manager / Technical Director level.
Do you have an Architectural background with experience working on new housing developments? Are you looking for a friendly, close knit company who can offer a great work/life balance?
The company are a 5* Housebuilder specialising in developments from 30 - 150 units. They have exciting plans to grow and expand over the next few years and are looking to bolster their design team with an additional Architectural Designer.
This is a broad architectural role where you will progress developments from feasibility stages through to delivery. You will be involved in layout design, preparation of planning applications, production of working drawings, detailing and specification through to supporting site teams and resolving any issues at build stage. The company place a huge emphasis on training and development and for the right candidate, opportunities to progress your career into Management / Director level roles are available.
This is a varied role which would suit someone with an Architectural background with who is looking to broaden their experience with the opportunity to progress into Management / Director level roles.
The Role:
* Architectural Designer - 5* Housebuilder
* Producing efficient and high quality housing layouts in either sketch and/or CAD format that are design focused and commercially viable
* Site evaluation to support appraisal and bid
* Assist in preparation of planning applications, discharge of planning conditions and S106 obligations
* Prepare working drawings, details and specifications
* Co-ordination of designs with Engineers, Landscape Architect and other design Consultants information
* Issuing Houseworks Portfolio for Tender and Construction
* Submission of Building Regulations application and discharge of NHBC conditions
* Prepare and approve Sales and Legal information - Conveyance Plans, Sales Area Layout, Marketing information
* Supporting Site Teams with day-day queries and resolving any issues at Build Stage
The Person:
* Architectural Design background - working for either a practice, consultancy or housebuilder
* Experience working on new housing developments
* Proficient in AutoCAD
* Commutable to Worcester
