We're looking for a Studio Manager to join our Norwich-based, remote-first team.

You'll be working with our whole team of strategists and designers to propose, plan and execute projects, and manage work for our retained clients too. As our team manages their own workload, you'll be responsible for helping everyone to break down work into manageable pieces, push to ensure everything is done on time, and define processes to make everything run nice and smoothly.

You'll be comfortable managing resource across our whole team, forward-planning to give everyone full visibility of what's coming up, and be responsible for removing blockers when necessary.

Plus, as you'll be working as part of a small team, you'll have a real opportunity to shape The User Story and the work you do. If you spot something in a process that could be improved, you'll be empowered to change it and communicate with the team.

Here's a brief rundown of how a recent project looked, as an example of how we work:

From a new enquiry, helped to create a brief with the client
Created a proposal from the brief, with help from the team
Negotiated terms and timescales, and assigned resources
Created contracts and worked to get things signed
Maintained studio resource and communicated to the team
Helped with day-to-day communications
Ran standups and aided team members with task writing, estimation and prioritisation
Created invoices and chased payments
Identified areas for account growthIn return, we offer a flexible work day where you'll decide your own patterns and hours, take advantage of unlimited holiday to recharge, have private healthcare so you can always feel your best, and have time to learn new skills and techniques. We have a shared office in Norwich which we would love for you to visit as regularly as you would like, to collaborate with the team and enjoy your time together in the local eateries and cocktaileries...

If you would like to learn more and see if we're right for you, we would love to hear how you think you would fit within our team, how you demonstrate our four core values, and whether you're a cat or a dog person.

Also, no agencies.

Seriously. We'll name and shame.

REFER A FRIEND

Know someone that's perfect for this role? Refer them to us, and we'll give you GBP250 if they get the job.

To be eligible, just refer your friend to us and get them to apply! Send an email to (url removed) to let us know who you have referred (make sure you have permission from them first!).

If they get the job, send us an invoice and we'll send you GBP250 cash! Remember that you'll be responsible for any tax liabilities that arise.

Requirements

You'll be able to run and plan projects yourself, prioritise your own work and collaborate with the team to get the job done. You'll understand the techniques and skills needed to power brilliant, high-performing teams, be proficient at running workshops and keeping to tight agendas, and understand how to work with stakeholders and development teams, and keep pushing projects forward.

So ideally, you'll have around 3-5 years experience of project or studio management, preferably in an agency environment, and be able to get stuck in straight away.

You'll know what your career ahead of you looks like and how we can help you get there. And you'll help the team around you to accomplish their goals, too.

Benefits

GBP20-28k starting salary with room for lots of growth

Private healthcare after your first month

Monthly socials included (cocktails and mocktails, anyone?)

Computer, equipment for your home office, and 2 days a week in our office in Norwich (as much as you'd like)
