A great opportunity has arisen for a number of administrators to join the Immunisation Team of a local NHS Trust whom have been commissioned to assist in the delivery of the School Aged Immunisation Programme in Bradford, Airedale & Wharfedale. We are looking to recruit skilled and experienced administrators to support our nursing team in the delivery of school based immunisations. We are very target driven to achieve our goals even more so in the current climate of Covid-19.

The position of Immunisation Team Administrator is a varied role in a busy team. Organisation skills are essential, in order to meet our high workloads and targets. Although some of the work is office based, this role does require a great deal of interaction with the clients we serve. You will be in regular communication with schools, nurses and the other members of the team. You will also spend a lot of time interacting with nervous, sometimes lively children. The team is small and so responsibilities are shared. Travel is an integral part of the job as visits to school are essential and frequent. Therefore, although not essential access to transport is desirable.

Responsibilities

Will include:

* Liaise with schools to arrange vaccination sessions and update calendars accordingly.

* Visit schools to deliver and collect forms.

* Scrutinise collected consent forms to ensure accurate information has been obtained in order that vaccinations can take place.

* Attend schools to manage the running of vaccination sessions. Administration staff may be required to transport documents to and from school sessions.

* Accurately record data from vaccination sessions and report this to management.

* Responding to queries from schools & parents.

Person Specification

You will:

* Be an organised individual with strong communication skills.

* Have a confident telephone manner and be able to communicate clearly and concisely with diverse groups at all levels in face to face situations.

* Must be experienced using Microsoft applications particularly Word, Excel & Outlook.

* Be able to follow processes accurately.

* Work effectively as part of a small friendly team.

* Car driver preferred.

Desirable skills

You may have:

* A full driving license

* Own car

* Experience of the school immunisation programme and Child Health.

Roles will be based in BD7, BD8 & BD20.

Hours of work are 9am-5pm (37.5 hours a week). The roles will commence on 16.08.21 and run initially to Friday 17.12.21 (with the possible extension to January/February 2022).
