About us

World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation charity that helps to protect the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats, acre by acre.

As the pioneers of the Buy an Acre approach, we have spent more than 30 years raising funds for local people to secure and protect the land they know best in America, Africa, Asia and beyond. With over 2,200,000 acres protected and 2,300,000 native trees funded to date, our ambition is now to drive this conservation action at scale – more acres and more species protected in this make-or-break decade for biodiversity and climate.

Scaling up the conservation action we fund will require inspiring generations of existing and new supporters – and this is where you come in. Through your command of visual, digital and social content, you will play a crucial part in our efforts to bring the work of our partners and its impact to life. As part of the Communications team, your creative flair will help advance the cause of land protection across the world, bringing attention to conservation at the time it needs it most.

Working with WLT

WLT is based in the UK and is unique within the conservation world. Now well over its 30th year of operation the Trust has grown from small beginnings, saving critically threatened forest in Belize to become an internationally respected conservation organisation with a proven track record, working with 32 overseas conservation NGOs on the protection of threatened habitats.  WLT has developed its modus operandi without losing its vision, integrity and transparency.

What you’ll be doing

The Digital Creative Assistant will help WLT’s Communication and Development teams to promote and clearly demonstrate the mission and ethos of WLT through the production of creative content, primarily for digital and social media as well as printed.

WLT is looking for someone with a creative mind who is capable of taking and interpreting a brief to ensure that our message is communicated in a vibrant and engaging manner. You will need to be able to demonstrate your creative thought process, and your graphic skills using the latest creative packages (primarily Adobe Creative Suite). You will be someone who lives and breathes digital and social media, who keeps up with the latest trends and who is passionate about digital content and design.

You will also support the ongoing management of the WLT media library which holds our extensive archive of images and video.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a candidate who is keen to work in an environment where they can use their existing skills with opportunities to develop. The candidate will be a creative thinker with the ability to bring their ideas and those of other members of the team to life. The candidate will be someone who is aware of the creative world around them and will be able to demonstrate this in a practical way.
