Supported Housing Manager
Greenacre are pleased to be supporting a Housing organisation in Nottinghamshire, to recruit a Supported Housing Manager, on a permanent basis.
* To ensure the delivery of quality supported housing, that meets local priorities and makes effective use of available resources
* To provide a customer centric, high quality Intensive Housing Management experience
* To ensure the service meets set KPI's and quality standards
* To work closely with key stakeholders to support the resident journey programme
* Be instrumental in supporting the strategic growth plan
* To maintain a detailed knowledge of the legislative landscape, case law and local council policy relating to the management and provision of temporary supported accommodation
* To develop relationships with new and existing stakeholders to enhance service quality and explore service diversification
* Respond appropriately to client consultation and explore a range of service user involvement mechanisms
* To lead and develop teams to maximise performance
* To manage rent collection and arrears processes in accordance with policies and procedures, maximising housing benefit take up and liaising with the Business Resource Centre
* To take appropriate arrears action where necessary in partnership with the Facilities Manager, to be responsible for the security and safety of properties and to ensure that they are maintained regarding the standards of decent homes, comply with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System
* To collate, analyse and interpret key information and present to the Senior Management Team
* To ensure all aspects of service delivery comply with contractual, legislative and other requirements
* To ensure there are frequent and periodic audits that meet required quality standards
* To ensure that best practice is being implemented particularly regarding minimising voids, under-occupancy and bad debt
* To ensure that residents are effectively involved in the delivery of our service through consultation and information
* To deal with complaints from both internal and external sources
* To represent the organisation at meetings, develop positive local community relationships and chair community meetings where appropriate
* To provide quality assurance and governance to intensive housing management
* To work with staff to ensure residents claims for benefits are applicable to ensure recovery of rent and service charges
* To hear appeals in matters relating to anti-social behaviour issues and termination of license agreements and represent the Housing service in court hearings as required
* To work with cross cutting departments to ensure the general security and health and safety of the accommodation provisions
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience;
* Current in-depth knowledge of Housing issues & legislation, particularly relating to homelessness & refugees
* Experience of managing supported housing with vulnerable/ challenging adults & young people
* Extensive experience of managing a team effectively, including recruitment, training and performance management
The role will involve working 37.5 hours per week, including some weekends, evenings and early mornings
