HR Advisor 9 Month FTC GBP28,000 Per Annum Stoke-on-Trent
Your new company
You will be working for a national manufacturing company based in Stoke-on-Trent as a HR Advisor on a 9 month fixed term contract. The main purpose of this role is providing a HR advice service to people managers. Taking responsibility for a high-volume HR case load and to operate as the first point of contact for managers and employees promoting a positive employee relations culture.
Your new role
In your new role as HR Advisor your main roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* To be the first point of contact for all ER casework queries within the business, including managing conduct, capability, attendance, sickness absence, long-term ill-health, and flexible working requests.
* New starter on-boarding and supporting probation management.
* To oversee all cases within own defined area of responsibility, providing accurate, consistent and timely advice, which is based on an assessment of past precedents and future business risks.
* To undertake an initial risk assessment of all incoming cases (within own remit) and escalate cases that are particularly complex, potentially high profile or requiring in-depth specialist knowledge.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a similar role will ultimately lead to your success, you will be a forward thinking individual with a passion for HR. You will have experience of coaching managers in the investigation and resolution of HR case work and have generalist HR experience, preferably in a commercial, operations function. CIPD L5 or working towards would be ideal but is not essential to be considered for this position.
What you'll get in return
You will receive an annual salary ranging between GBP26,000-GBP28,000 depending on experience, 31 Days annual leave including bank holidays, the working hours are flexible and you will be required to cover sites across the UK 2/3 days a week whilst being split from your main hub in Stoke-on-Trent and working from home.
