At Ibstock Brick we are the leading manufacturer by volume of clay bricks sold in the United Kingdom. With 16 manufacturing sites Ibstock Brick has the largest brick production capacity in the United Kingdom. We operate a network of 18 active quarries located close to our manufacturing plants.

We are currently recruiting for an Area Sales Manager covering the West Midlands, Warwickshire and Staffordshire area.

This is a home based role responsible for maximising revenue from both new and existing customers in the region. Developing relationships with the customers to ensure that we are the supplier of choice, enabling the business to meet our own objectives.

In this role, you will be accountable for:

Planning, researching and executing potential sales opportunities in order to drive profitable market share growth for the business with particular attention being placed on the newly refurbished Laybrook factory in West Sussex

Consistently delivering against set goals and targets

Proactively initiating customer contact and conversations in order to drive positive results

Establishing credibility with customers by building trust through adding value by providing solutions that meets the customer's needs

Developing strong and sustainable customer relationships with key customers. Ensure these relationships are managed with a high level of trust and integrity

Utilising a proactive data driven approach in order to make commercial decisions, including ensuring adherence to key sales processes and systems (eg CRM)

Seeking feedback from customers proactively in order to provide a better sales experience

Developing strong internal relationships across the Ibstock business (eg Production) in order to create better outcomes for the business and our customers

You will have:

Good product knowledge

Knowledge of pricing

Knowledge of key sales processes

Knowledge of sales systems (such as CRM etc)

You may also have some or all of the following:

Proactive approach to drive improved sales and increased market share in line with the business's productive capacity

Commercial and business acumen in order to ensure profitable growth

Organised and planned approach to creating sales opportunities

Utilises own initiative

Ability to build strong and sustainable relationships

Building Trust with customers and colleagues
