Who are we?

The Jon Egging Trust is a dynamic and innovative youth engagement charity supporting vulnerable young people to get back on track and realise their potential. We are an early intervention organisation, stepping in to help young people whose life challenges may put them at increased risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training).

Over the past decade, JET has supported more than 30,000 young lives through our unique motivational, inspirational and confidence-building programmes in schools which we deliver in collaboration with corporate and military partners across the UK. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on young people, with those from disadvantaged backgrounds disproportionately affected, our interventions are needed more than ever. With ambitions to reach out to 1 million young people by 2031 it’s truly an exciting time to join our team.

The Trust was set up in honour of Flt Lt Jon Egging, who lost his life following a display at the Bournemouth Air Festival in 2011. He was coming to the end of his first year with the world famous Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team ‘The Red Arrows’ flying in the position of Red 4.

The Jon Egging Trust currently has two main youth programmes: Blue Skies and Inspirational Outreach.

Blue Skies works with young people 12 – 16 years old over 3 years through a set and standardised curriculum, in partnership with a particular school in each region, and military and civilian partners. Blue Skies Inspire Packages are bespoke sessions of 5 or more totalling 10 hours and agreed in partnership with Schools to meet learning objectives from the Blue Skies curriculum.

Inspirational Outreach works with children and young people from key stage 2 through to school leavers participating in bespoke programmes developed in partnership with schools to meet specific needs.

Work with us…

The Jon Egging Trust is looking for a highly motivated individual with youth work or teaching experience and preferably a connection to the military, to facilitate and deliver Blue Skies and Inspirational Outreach programmes in the Lincolnshire area in conjunction with the RAF and other local businesses whilst helping us secure more corporate delivery partners.

We are looking for someone who can not only inspire the young people on our programmes but also manage key partnerships in the region to enhance and develop our offer. A desire to grow the trust’s presence locally and work with Area Director Central to identify new opportunities will be vital. To find out more about the programmes  phone 077  8 528 if you have any questions.

To apply please send your CV and a covering letter outlining why you are interested in the role, and why you feel you are best placed for the job, paying particular attention to how you meet the competencies outlined in the job specification (no more than 2 A4 sides)
