Power Press Setter Operator
Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client based in Telford for a Power Press Setter Operator. The position will be setting and operating a 300 Tonne Coil fed press to manufacture components to agreed customer requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to work either days or shifts as part of a team in a fast moving production environment.
This position is permanent for the right candidate after a successful probationary period of 13 weeks.
The idea candidate will be required but not limited to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
To change and set a range of forming, piercing, roll forming and cropping tools to ensure acceptable first off components.
To operate a range of Power Press Machines.
To carry out routine Quality Checks to ensure product conformity.
To carry out preventative maintenance in line with agreed maintenance schedules.
To book manufactured components onto SAP.
The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and experiences:
Tool setting experience with PUWER (Power Press) Regulations certification.
Machine Operating experience.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and to operate a range of workshop measurement equipment.
The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm Friday 8am - 1pm.
In return you will be paid a salary of GBP10.57 per hour
(Enhanced rates paid for shift pay and over time)
