Who they are

Our client is a not-for-profit housing association committed to providing affordable local homes for customers. They have nearly 7,000 homes for affordable rent and shared ownership in Wiltshire, Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset and employ over 300 staff from their offices in Trowbridge and Melksham.

 

The role

This is a crucial role for delivering transformational change. The purpose of this role is to support the governance and management of a portfolio of projects.

 

It has the following main responsibilities;

  • Act as point of contact for the project team and facilitate communications
  • Provide guidance to staff on the use of agreed project processes and templates
  • Develop and maintain the project library, filing, recording and reporting systems
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of reports and produce project summary reports relating to project, programme and portfolio status and health
  • Help to organise and facilitate project meetings as and when required including organising venues, preparing pre-read materials and capturing actions

 

What they need

For this role you’ll need to have the following skills and experience:

  • GCSE of ‘O’ Level standard or equivalent with Grade 4/ C or above in English and Maths
  • Experience of working in a PMO or projects environment
  • Knowledge of project management principles and approaches
  • Experience of using IT systems (including Microsoft suite) used within a busy office environment
  • Good organisational and administration skills
  • Experience of taking minutes and recording actions
  • Commitment to working as ‘one team’ across all areas of the business where projects impact
