The AICS Group specialises in providing community-based rehabilitation and support to clients who suffered from a brain injury.
AICS Group is looking for a Female Support Worker to work with our Female client who lives in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. This role provides immense job satisfaction within a busy and varied environment, working with a range of health and social care professionals.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Client: Our client sustained an Acquired Brain Injury in 2015, and presents with No personal care need, self-medicates, no mobility issues, presents with more cognitive, and mental health issues and impulsive.
Any Support worker will need to be flexible, committed, energetic, motivated, and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with a range of skilled professionals and family.
Monday Tuesday Friday 6pm-8am sleep in
Wednesday Thursday's 5.30pm-9pm
Saturday 10.00am-2.00pm
Saturday 5.30pm-9.30pm
Need to be a Driver
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Skills:
Minimum 1 year of experience in health and social care, preferably with adults or children who have sustained a brain injury, basic understanding of cognitive, emotional and physical impairment, demonstrate ability to relate respectfully to people with physical disabilities, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to liaise with other professionals daily, good planning, organisational, and problem solving skills and be able to use initiative in a range of situations, ability to take a person centred approach, experience in medication administration, personal care and manual handling.
Ability to think outside the box, facilitate ongoing, age-appropriate activities, learning and support to client in their home and in the community.
Desirable Skills:
Current and clean UK driver's license, experience of providing care to people living in the community
