Galliford Try Building Southern are looking for a Corporate Responsibility Assistant to support the Corporate Responsibility Manager to ensure Galliford Try's values, Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration (EPIC) are displayed.

Role Overview:

To facilitate internal and external communication activities for community projects and corporate responsibility across the Building Southern region supporting CR Manager, ensuring Galliford Try's values, Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration (EPIC) are displayed always.

To play a supporting role across Building Southern, developing and maintaining strong relationships and having visibility across various projects

Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting with delivering the Building Southern Corporate Responsibility (CR) Strategy. This includes helping establish relevant procedures, processes and tools to place online for effective Community working

* Be an ambassador for, Delivering Excellence, Building Southern No 1 Business Strategy and contribute to high quality Project Community newsletters. Be responsible for the Regional updates of the Community and Sustainability elements of our intranet

* Support CCS Best practice for our Region and transferring this to site via site visits, training etc. Review CCS scores/per year to seek improvements in our scores as well as assiting in achieving our Regional target on the number of Apprentice placements/training opportunities created

* Apprentice support- ensure reviews are undertaken, regular contact with the mentors and apprentice providers and capturing and reporting Corporate Responsibility KPI's

* Report delivered Social Value impact monthly

* Support the Supply Chain team in getting our "Strategic Alliance" sub-contractors to generate Employment opportunities as well as Support the PM in maximising local employment and training with equal opportunity for all ensuring the Employment and Skills targets are met

* Prepare newsletters, best practise bulletins, posters & other such literature promoting community initiatives

* Identify & develop links with local charities as appropriate

* Present safety & construction site awareness sessions in school assemblies

* Attend & support neighbour open evenings as/if necessary and support volunteering days

* Record all complaints and compliments on one tracker

* Support in the development of CR Engagement toolkit as welll as pre-construction team for bib submissions

Experience and Qualifications:

* Computer literate with knowledge/experience of Microsoft suite, i.e. outlook, word, excel and PowerPoint

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Be positive, enthusiastic, and personable - a team player

* Be pro-active, organised and professional

* Willingness to travel and ability to manage own time

* Ability to work to deadlines

* Ability to work and communicate at all levels in a way that encourages two-way communication both written and verbal. Comfortable with both groups and individuals.

* Good time management with ability to multitask.

* Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures

* Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the Galliford Try values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration

* Enthusiastic, takes ownership

* Management & Administration skills

* Good time management with ability to multitask
