Elevation Recruitment Group are currently partnered with an exciting manufacturing business with a global presence who are looking to invest in a Trainee HSE Advisor to join their operation in Sheffield.
This is a fantastic chance for somebody who has some existing experience within safety or someone who has a keen interest in pursuing a career in safety but hasn't been given the opportunity to take the first stop in working for a fantastic business in the heart of Sheffield.
Reporting to the QHSE Director, duties and responsibilities will include:
* Assist in maintaining the company's management systems in accordance with ISO14001 and ISO(phone number removed)
* Ensure that all teams and production processes adhere to SHE systems via active liaison and face to face interaction, building strong relationships
* Assist in investigations for accidents and near misses and help ensure that root causes are established and appropriate actions put in place to prevent recurrence
* Assist in the delivery of new starter inductions and training
* Ensure that all SHE & maintenance records are properly maintained in line with statutory and management system requirements
* Assist the team and production leaders with the day to day maintenance of health, safety and environmental management systems including aiding production of risk assessments and safe systems of work
* Assist the SHEQ team during third party audits
* Supporting our waste management processes and ensure that wastes are correctly segregated, stored and collected in a timely fashion by reputable waste carriers
* Arrange and coordinate the ongoing health screening of the workforce including Occupational Health checks, vibrations monitoring, PPE
* Maintain high quality records of all required elements of our SHE systems
I'm keen to speak to individuals with the following skillset:
- Experience of manufacturing is highly desirable
- A basic understanding of HSE
- A Safety related qualification is desirable ie NEBOSH/IOSH
- Willingness to learn and able to build strong relationships on the shop floor
