Position: Chief Executive, Nottingham BID

Reporting To: Board of Directors

Location: Nottingham

Salary: Competitive (Consideration for part time and flexible working)

We are looking for a strategic leader who can help unlock the full potential of Nottingham.

Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) was formed in 2012, following the merger of the city’s retail and leisure BIDs. We are one of the largest BIDs in the country with over 800 members and the first BID in the UK to have successfully renewed our funding for a further five years during the Covid Pandemic. This overwhelming support of businesses in Nottingham puts an incredible act of faith in us, especially as so many of our members have been some of the hardest hit during this time.

As a young, dynamic and vibrant city with excellent businesses, transport links and education providers Nottingham BID is working hard as a business-led, not for profit organisation to realise our potential and build a better Nottingham and helping to champion Nottingham as a first-choice city for shopping, leisure, work and study.

To help us unlock the potential, we need a Chief Executive who is able to provide courageous and innovative leadership to create a vision and lead us to achieving our ambition to make Nottingham a first-choice city. We want someone who will be an ambassador for Nottingham.

You will have strong relationship skills to work with a broad range of stakeholders, the entrepreneurial mindset to innovate and grow an organisation, and relentless energy to drive success through challenging external factors.

As Chief Executive, you will work with a highly talented and high performing team, an engaged and committed board of directors and for an organisation wanting to invest in the future.

You do not need to have experience of working within a BID before, but we do expect that you will be able to showcase your ability and track record of creating successful place-based growth, working in partnership and leading with vision and values.
