We are looking for strategic leaders who can help unlock the full potential of Nottingham.

Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) was formed in 2012, following the merger of the city’s retail and leisure BIDs. We are one of the largest BIDs in the country with over 800 members and the first BID in the UK to have successfully renewed our funding for a further term of five years during the Covid Pandemic. This overwhelming support of businesses in Nottingham puts an incredible act of faith in us, especially as so many of our members have been some of the hardest hit during this time.

As a young, dynamic and vibrant city with excellent businesses, transport links and education providers Nottingham BID is working hard as a business-led, not for profit organisation to realise our potential and champion Nottingham to be a first-choice city for shopping, leisure, work and study.

We are seeking several new Directors to join our Board who can help unlock our potential and share our vision and commitment to Nottingham. You will work with an engaged and committed Board of Directors to support a highly talented and high performing team BID team to deliver our five-year business plan which outlines our commitment to making Nottingham an exciting and thriving city.

We need Directors who are collaborative and dynamic with strategic vision, sound commercial and financial acumen and excellent communication skills to provide constructive challenge and support. Most importantly you will be passionate about Nottingham.

To complement the experience and skills on our Board, we are particularly keen to have people who bring experience of commercial property or real estate, visitor attraction, education, city infrastructure, marketing and PR from a range of businesses in Nottingham.

The time commitment will be up to one day per month based on monthly board meetings, preparation and representation at some external events.
