2 x Higher Level Teaching Assistants – Temporary, Full Time (Connect Grade E)

We are looking to appoint two highly skilled HLTAs to primarily take responsibility for teaching core groups, manage and deliver interventions and to cover classes during planned or unplanned teacher absence. It is likely that you will be based in either EYFS/KS1 or KS2 but there may be a need to cover anywhere across the school. This will initially be a 1-year contract with the possibility of extending the contract at the end of the academic year.

Classroom Teaching Assistant – Temporary, Full Time (Connect band C)

SEND Teaching Assistant - Temporary, 0.5 Part Time (Connect band C)

The option of increasing this to full-time is negotiable for the right candidate.

Class TA and SEND TA roles will include Lunch Hour Assistance - Temporary (MTA Connect band A)

Widey Court Primary School is looking to appoint outstanding and highly motivated Teaching Assistants. The roles will also include Lunch Hour Assistance. This post is initially situated at Widey Court Primary School, however as part of our Academy Trust there may be the opportunity to work in any of our schools in the future. The SEND Teaching Assistant post is to work with children with SEND and specific learning difficulties.

You could be the person we appoint if you:

  • Are able to develop positive relationships with children and parents.
  • Are passionate about working with children and look forward to joining our friendly team.
  • Are able to support pupils in developing skills in independence, self-confidence and social

              interaction.

  • Have high expectations of pupils’ learning and behaviour.
  • Are able to develop positive behaviour strategies with children.
  • Have an NVQ Level 3 qualification (or working towards).
  • Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Have experience and the ability to work with children with SEND, including Speech & Language, ASD and Social, Behaviour & Emotional needs.
