The Trust Premises Manager will report to the Trust Operations Officer and liaise with Headteachers in all 8 schools.

Management of Sites

* Manage the daily workload within schools site teams.

* Facilitate the work of the Trust Compliance Manager so that routine workload include the systems used to manage and maintain records which may include, Fire safety records; legionella testing records; and schedules of work for site teams.

* Following up on the progress of any building/maintenance/in house works including liaison with Contractors.

* Produce schedules and plans of work, obtain quotations and make recommendations for planned and responsive works as required.

* Act as operational support contact for Site Agents on day to day basis and urgent Health & Safety/Compliance queries.

* Provide support to incident investigations

Together with the Chief Operations Officer regularly meet with Leadership teams to discuss issues and plans on a regular basis.

* Attend meetings and assist the Chief Operations Officer in management of capital projects, to include inspection, snagging and day to day management of projects as directed.

* Undertake and review risk assessments as directed.

* With the support of the Trust Compliance Manager, manage contractor booking in line with safeguarding policies i.e. DBS clearance confirmation and be a point of contact.

* Act as a key holder for all sites attending routine and emergency call-outs as and when required.

* Provide cover for site agents as required

* Work with external consultants as required to secure condition surveys and information to support bids as required

* Manage the maintenance and ensure availability of trust vehicles.

Management of Staff

* With the Chief Operations Officer and all other relevant stakeholders ensure the effective deployment of staff and resources across all Trust sites.

* Develop the use of performance management skills to meet any keys objectives or priorities are met.

* Undertake Performance Management of staff across the trust to include sickness absence management, appraisal, disciplinary and capability processes.

YOU MUST HAVE:

Substantial experience Premises responsibilities in an educational or business setting.

Supervision of employees performing similar work providing facilities maintenance, and compliance tasks

Experience of working with a wide range of external partners/agencies including architects, surveyors, engineers and service providers.

Numeracy skills - able to add, subtract, multiply and divide and manipulate data on a spreadsheet

Literacy skills - able to read, write and to draft reports, read and interpret information.

Able to communicate politely and tactfully with school premises users

Good presentation skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction.
