Contract: Permanent post with 6 month probation

Pay Band: Band 7 (£40,681-£46,294 with HCAS)

Location: Frimley Park or Wexham Park Hospital but with multi-site working

Hours: Full time

Pension: Contributory Pension scheme

Holiday: 27 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays (pro rata)

Other: Mileage allowance paid

DIMENSIONS OF JOB:

As a senior member of the fundraising team, you will take a strategic approach to leading the development and management of our Major Donor, Trusts, Corporate and Legacy programmes to maximise income and meet annual targets.  You will be accustomed to dealing with senior level figures in the corporate world and in managing the highest-level relationships between the Trust, the Charity, Corporates, Trusts, legators and major donors.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the Philanthropy Manager will lead on proactively approaching a range of major donor, corporate and trusts funders to achieve a long-term strategy for growth in income.

The role will include developing and implementing a strategy for major donors, corporate, legacy and trusts fundraising, managing an existing portfolio of partnerships and winning new business. You will line manage the Trusts & Foundations Officer and there is a recruitment scheduled for the Philanthropy team to grow if potential net income in these areas can be realised.

A mix of new business and management of existing donors, this role requires strong personal relationship management skills and the ability to effectively establish, develop and deliver a long-term engagement strategy with major donors to ensure sustainability.

About You

For this role you will need:

Proven track record of personally securing gifts in excess of £100k
A passion for supporter stewardship and proven experience of driving corporate, Trusts and major donor relationships.
Educated to degree level and possess a relevant qualification or appropriate experience in a directly related post
Knowledge of charities and the voluntary sector
A good understanding of the Major Donor, Trust, Corporate and Legacy fundraising market and trends
A people person with gravitas, tact and diplomacy with both internal and external audiences with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills sufficient to compile powerful cases for support and fundraising pitches in a clear, inspiring and confident way.
The ability to work using your own initiative
Proven organisational skills including project and financial planning skills
