Geo-Environmental Engineer - Bristol
Our clients are a growing company specialising in site investigation, assessment and management of Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical issues on new development sites. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their team based out of Bristol.
This is a highly varied role working with a small, friendly team. You must have experience in site and ground investigations, site remediation and environmental monitoring, with strong problem solving and communications skills. Duties will include:
- Project Management of projects from start to finish
- Independent supervision/management of small to medium sized ground investigations
- Completing geotechnical/geo-environmental soil/groundwater sampling
- Preparing Phase I Desk Study reports, ground investigation reports, remediation strategies, material management plans and other interpretive geo-environmental reports
- Preparing company Health & Safety documentation for site works
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience of both office and site-based duties
- Educated to degree or master's level in a relevant subject
- Competence in soil and rock logging to BS5930:2015
- Relevant CSCS and SMSTS qualifications are preferred but not essential
- Confident in the use of Holebase/AGS
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft office applications
- Strong communications skills
- Full UK drivers licence
