With 200+ people on site, you'll be joining a small team of 9 Engineers in the software division who collaborate regularly with the electronics, scientific and application teams (also on site). Their friendly team are Aglie(ish) and are looking for someone comfortable working in such a way. Though they don't necessarily need someone with a safety critical background, they'd really appreciate someone that brings a certain level of rigour to their work.
A snapshot of their ideal candidate is below. There's stacks of expertise already within the team and they can coach and train where needed for minor knowledge gaps.
You'll need:
- Experience writing low-level embedded software in C
- Experience in bare-metal development
- Firm grasp of various comms protocols such as RS485, RS232, SPI, I2C etc
- Knowledge of ARM architectures (or Freescale / NXP / TI / similar)
- Knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, Ethernet or Wi-Fi
You'll be working with a company that take good care of their staff, believe whole-heartedly in giving proper work/life balance, encourage you to develop and progress and give you autonomy to perform.
