Prime Appointments are looking for a Registered Manager who can provide a need led service to adults with a learning disability by adopting a person centred approach that fosters self-awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices. They will be responsible for a single/ group of services under the direction of the Area Manager

To take the Registered Manager responsibility for a single / group of services under the direction of the Area Manager.
To provide a need led service to adults with a learning disability by adopting a person centred approach that fosters self-awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices.
To lead by example and develop effective teams within the services you are responsible for.
Maximise effective partnerships with mainstream and specialist services e.g. Health, Education, Employment, Leisure etc.
Maintaining close contact with families/carers as appropriate, with the consent of the individuals being supported at the service.
To create and develop links between the service and the local community.
Celebrate and share success with service users, colleagues, and partners.
To ensure that the service provided respects the individual as an adult and equal citizen.
Act as cover for other managers in the event of sickness annual leave etc.
To undertake such duties and responsibilities reasonably consistent with the role as may be required from time to time by the Area Manager.
Ensure a range of meetings take place to include weekly service user / Team Leader/ Deputy Managers meetings and regular staff meetings as directed by the Area Manager.
Where necessary ensure that all disciplinary and grievance procedures are carried out in line with company policy and statutory requirements.
Ensure staff adhere to the GCSS Codes of Practice and rules, policies and procedures contained in the Staff Handbook.
Ensure processes are in place and adhered to in line with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Ensure staff team completes H&S training as required.
At all times work within the clients H&S policy and proceduresRequirements of the Registered Manager:

Multi-Site Management
Driver essential due to multiple locations
Experience of CQC Inspections
4 years recent and significant experience of working with adults with Learning disabilities.
Health and Social Care Level 3 is a must but Level 5 in Health & Social Care is desirable
Experience in managing LD residential or supporting living services.
Ability to communicate to a range of people using different communication methods.
Ability to write reports.
Ability to chair meetings.
Relevant legislation e.g. valuing people, mental capacity act, deprivation of liberty, Health & Safety.
Ability to deal effectively in crises/emergencies.
Ability to develop and promote positive working relationships with individual's being supported, their carers and professional colleagues.

Promotion of advocacy.
Ability to work under pressure while recognising it in self and others.
