We require an Evidence Management Officer to cover an existing workload within Thames Valley Police, based out of Reading Police Station.

This is an interim position initially for 3-6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.

Role Purpose:

• The purpose of the role is to receive all crime and drug property from police officers to ensure safe storage and documentation
• The Evidence Management Officer will be responsible for maintaining records for all property coming into Police possession, they will be competent in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook and be able to input, retrieve and present data using computer systems.

Skills required to be successful in the role:

• Experience of working in a customer service environment is essential
• Other essential qualities are the ability to remain calm under pressure, work with minimal supervision, excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, and understand the need for confidentiality
• IT Literate including the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Good standard of education
• Ability to work quickly, accurately when under pressure
• The role is very physical and must be able to lift / move heavy objects
• To be able to work in all weather conditions, working in garages and outside stores

This role offers a competitive salary of GBP11.28 per hour PAYE (Umbrella rate available) and you'll be working via REED who offer great benefits such as discounts, cashback offers and more as well as weekly pay.
