This is an exciting opportunity for a horticulturist/gardener, to support our young people to learn and develop specialist skills needed to work within a fruit growing environment.
Hours for this role are flexible and part time and can be worked over 5 days or across 2/3 longer days if preferred.
We are looking for a Job Coach to support and develop young people with autism and complex needs as they follow a vocational curriculum that challenges them to achieve their full potential.
Job Description
As part of your role, you will uphold and work towards the vision and aims of Prior's Court, supporting the organisation's objectives and living the values.
You will be required to work collaboratively with internal colleagues and work with the estates team to plan the regular maintenance of the orchard.
The Job Coach is responsible for the delivery of vocational learning programmes through identifying and modelling activities and tasks allowing young people to develop their skills through the use of visual structure.
Who we are looking for
The role is suitable for someone who is an outstanding communicator with previous experience of working with children and young people in a similar role. You will be very organised, innovative, and enthusiastic with lots of initiative. We would be interested in speaking to you particularly if you hold Horticultural RHS Level 1 or 2 or equivalent.

About Prior's Court
Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior's Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 90 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011.
Since opening, our support team has grown from around 20 to 500 and we have built a reputation as a leading edge educational, vocational, and residential facility for young people with autism. We are situated on 50 acres of parkland with various facilities including accommodation for our young people, a school with a wide range of facilities and offices
