Position Summary
The production scheduler creates efficient, achievable production plans and departmental workflows which enable effective working and consistent manufacturing performance in line with customer OTD, SIOP and revenue targets. They will be joining a customer-focused team dedicated to ensuring that on-time delivery dates and the business financial targets are met.

The ideal candidate would have a passion for process and systems, the ability and desire to forge strong relationships with internal suppliers and customers, a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and a keen interest in a busy manufacturing environment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

35% - Creating weekly production schedules, daily plans and KPI sheets in line with available labour, skill levels, available plant and machines, inspection capacity, raw material and sub-contract availability
30% - A good understanding of Demand-Capacity planning and ability to Level Load and Balance short to mid-term Production Plans on planning tool(s), ensures production schedules are aligned to Customer OTD, overall SIOP and revenue profiles
20% - Allocates inventory to customer shipments and coordinates special requirements, and inspections with projects and provides testing/kitting requirements to Materials Manager, performs filing and other clerical type duties
15% - A good understanding and capability of working on ERP systems, scheduling systems and MS office products with ability and enthusiasm to implement efficient working practices
Supervisory Scope

Direct Reports - This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports
Indirect Reports - This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports
Financial Responsibility: Ensure plans are aligned to SIOP and revenue profiles
Revenue Generated: Ensure plans are aligned to SIOP and revenue profiles
Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: Maths & English GSCE A-C grade (Essential)
Field of Study/Area of Experience: 3-5 years' experience in relevant planning experience (Preferred)
