AutoCAD Technician

A business that operates within the Storage Systems sector. With over 20 years' experience within the industry, the business is known as being an expert in the design, manufacture and installation of various systems including Mezzanine Floors, Pallet Racking and Shelving systems.
The organisation is looking to strengthen their Design team in the form of an AutoCAD Technician. This individual will be heavily involed in the deisgn of various storage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
The AutoCAD Technician will:
* Liaise with clients to identify their requirements.
* Plan effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard and to budget.
* Studying various design briefs.
* Developing compliant design solutions to suit customer's budget.
* Provide accurate list of components to suit the design.
* Assessing the usability, environmental impact and safety of a design.
* Using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 2D designs.
Required Experience:
The AutoCAD Technician will have the following experience:
* Strong maths, English and IT skills.
* A creative flair and design ability.
* Good visual and spatial awareness.
* Problem solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Commercial awareness.
* Time management and organisational skills.
* CDM awareness.
* H&S awareness.
* BTEC level 3 or equivalent in mechanical engineering
