Shift Manager - Food Manufacturing - Nights - Circa 30k - South Coast
Search Food Manufacturing are proud to bring an exceptional opportunity to the market as we are currently looking for an experienced and professional production manager to join this wonderful team based on the South Coast of England.
Reporting directly into the Head of Production this opportunity is tailor made for someone who has extensive food manufacturing knowledge, the ability to oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit and production processes whilst ensuring optimal product quality and minimum waste.
As Shift manager for this fantastic business you will be responsible for:
* The supervision of a strong longstanding team alongside an experienced team of operatives
* Set and implement standards, procedures, and processes for the manufacture of high quality products
* Assignment of roles to production staff according to their competence and work demand in line with the production plan
* Motivation and manage the production operatives to ensure daily production targets are achieved
* Liaise with other departments to ensure a cohesive and effective production process
* Complete understanding and enforcement of the health and safety procedures
* Collaboration with the quality department to monitor the various aspects of food processing to ensure final product meets set specifications
* Shift management alongside the preparation and presentation of periodic reports, updating company management on food production operations
* Ensuring compliance with all internal and external food production regulations and legislation
* Make strategic and knowledgeable recommendations to management on ways to increase productivity and revenue generation
Experience in food production manager is preferred but not essential if you have a manufacturing background within a similar sector then we would still be interested in hearing from you. You must be pro-active in your approach, an excellent motivator with strong communication skills, someone who is able to achieve production targets within set timeframe along with being adept to taking key production decisions to ensure manufacture of high-quality products.
The shift pattern is four nights on then four off and, as part of the senior management structure for the business, a degree of flexibility would be expected.
