Port Operative
Working in partnership with Peel Logistics in Ellesmere Port are recruiting a reliable, hardworking Port Operative. Shift pattern / Working hours.
12 hour shifts 7-7; days & nights. Working on an as and when basis, the is a temporary ongoing contract due to the nature of the work.
Start date / Duration.
Port Operative positions assignments are starting immediately.
Job description:
Port Operatives are responsible for discharging general cargo and bulk vessels in a safe and secure manner.
Industrial cleaning: working in grain silos to ensure that all dust and debris is cleared. This includes working in confided spaces.
Traffic marshalling
Assist in weighbridge operations and recording and compiling other administrative information associated with cargo movement and cargo handling accessories as required.

The successful candidate:
Able to work 12-hour shifts (days and nights).
Committed, team player with a keen eye for quality.
Reliable with good timekeeping.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive and flexible attitude.
No previous experience required as full training is provided.
Previous experience as an Port Operative or Forklift Truck, FLT, Loading Shovel operator, Excavator, Crane operator, Labouring, Operative would be advantageous, not essential
