Logistics Coordinator (Stock Management)
Southampton
GBP24,000 to GBP26,000 DOE + 23 Holidays + Bank Holidays + Pension + Broad Range of Onsite Facilities + Development
Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 5pm.
Some flexibility required.
Logistics Coordinator required for a niche global leader, this is a new opportunity within the business due to growth. This role has a wide scope of variety within a busy working environment.
The Successful Logistics Coordinator will have office based experience coordinating international or national freight movements and logistics. You will have experience in a transferable field, whether that be inventory, logistics, warehousing or similar. You'll need experience being able to multi task and manage your time appropriately, to work smart and communicate internally to ensure timely delivery of stock, resolve any supplier queries and communicate stock levels. You will be required to have some form of stock management, auditing or control experience.
The role itself is office based and you will be responsible for coordinating goods being shipped and transported worldwide ensuring goods are delivered as per the agreed timescale. Your role will involve maintaining and updating shipping information. You will also be managing and updating the company's database. You will also be responsible for completing purchase orders and quotes; and place product orders with suppliers and speak with the warehouse to ensure stock levels are maintained. You will directly be responsible for stock management and ensuring stock checks are completed and any discrepancies reported.
The Logistics Coordinator Role:
* Office based role supporting the coordination of goods being shipped and transported worldwide.
* Keeping the company's data's base up to date, as well as ensuring stock is appropriately rotated to make sure products are outside of 6 months from expiry, to reduce waste.
* Direct responsibility for stock management.
* Completing client/customer purchase orders.
