Infrastructure Engineer, GBP28,000 - GBP32,000 - Blackburn
A technology business based in Blackburn are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the business and support the Infrastructure Manager. The business has ambitious growth plans, they aim to grow by 300 in 18 months to take them to 900 staff and want to ensure they have a resilient infrastructure department to aid this growth.
As the Infrastructure Engineer you will be managing, supporting, designing and deploying IT Systems - this role will involve taking escalating issues from the 1st & 2nd line team, managing the core infrastructure servers, networks and systems as well as play an active role in any IT related projects across the group.
Essential Experience:
Proven track record in a 2nd / 3rd line infrastructure role - taking escalated support tickets and resolving effectively.
Previous experience building and installing new infrastructure devices - servers, switches, wifi, storage)
Extensive experience managing Microsoft products - Windows Server 2001 > 2019 and Windows Desktop 10
Proficient supporting networks and security including Cisco switches, UCS, anti virus, SIEM, encryption, firewalls and VPN
Understanding of NetApp Storage systems
This role will suit someone that is very technically minded and able to work independently whilst wanting the opportunity shadow the Infrastructure Manager and develop their own IT career in the meantime.
