Production Shift Manager - Permanent - Telford
L & C Consulting are recruiting on behalf of an established, privately owned, fabrication specialist in Telford for an experienced Shift Manager to join them on a permanent basis. You will be managing the late shift, 13:00 - 22:00 (Monday - Thursday) and 12:00 - 17:45 (Fridays).
Based in Central Telford, the site is easily accessible from the M54 so is commutable from Shrewsbury, Telford, Wolverhampton etc.
Managing a workforce of approximately 25 staff (machinists, welders, operatives etc), you'll be responsible for:
All areas of daily management including
* Staff Rota Planning
* H&S
* Production planning / management
* Critical management and CI
* Staff supervision and training, disciplinaries etc
Experience of managing staff within engineering / fabrication environments is essential to be considered for this role, ideally including skills sets such as welding, guillotines, braziers, finishing, machining etc
You'll need to have a stable work history within similar role, ideally from a manual as opposed to fully automated manufacturing environments to be considered for this post.
The Telford site is fully accessible from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Walsall, Telford, Bridgnorth, Market Drayton, Cannock etc
