A fantastic opportunity to add value to a worthwhile charity on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells for an initial 3 month contract which could extend to 6 months to start ASAP. The role is 24 hours per week which can be worked flexibly down to individuals requirements although some flex. required for open days etc. This is to support during a very busy time with currently 50 live vacancies within the group. You will report to the HRD and work alongside 2 other permanent recruiters, with a dotted line reporting to the Regional Area Manager (Kent) and working closely with the Kent Service Managers. A lot of the day to day recruitment, i.e. dealing with applications, setting up interviews, DBS checks is done by the permanent recruiters but this role is intended to really see where else our Client can advertise and set up careers fairs and open days and other initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
?? Local on the ground recruitment e.g. handing out leaflets locally, putting up posters on local notice boards
?? Identifying sites for banners by driving around and seeing where others are located
?? Helping set up on-site open days and liaising with service managers to make these effective
?? Linking with the Commercial Team to ensure we are recruiting for the right shifts
?? Working with Service Managers on their vacancies and making sure they are prioritising this
?? Helping with interviews and working with the other Internal Recruiters on the onboarding process
?? Problem solving where there are any barriers with particular managers or with process etc
?? Building links with local job centre, local college or schools who will have leavers at this time of year
?? Promoting recruitment and have materials on display
?? Recruitment stall
Ideal candidates would have worked in recruitment in social care, but most importantly, you will need to know the area and what works for recruitment locally.
