IT Support Engineer - Sheffield

We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join a prestigious company based in Sheffield on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be joining an expanding IT Support department and be responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd line support to a large user base, project work and training staff in systems.

The role requires someone with excellent troubleshooting abilities, a proactive approach to work and strong interpersonal skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide 2nd and 3rd line support to end users across the organisation.
Ensure IT systems, infrastructure and networks are working at optimum efficiency.
Install, configure and troubleshoot network hardware.
Configure new equipment and software.
Install, configure and support Microsoft desktop operating systems and applications.
Support system backups/restores.
Monitor and support security of network and server hardware and software.

Skills/Experience should include:

Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Windows, Linux and MacOS)
Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP
VMware and/or Hyper-V
Networking protocols - TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, Firewalls
Office 365 and related products
Hardware Support
IP Telephony / VOIP
Cloud Technologies
